Association for for German Studies in Great Britain and Ireland Publication Subsidy Grant: Financial support to cover some of the ancillary costs associated with the publication of a full length monograph (approx. £500).

Centre for the Study of Cultural Memory Visiting Fellowship: A 12 month visiting research fellowship connected to post-doctoral research at the University of London’s Institute of Modern Languages Research. Duration: Sept 2015 – July 2016.

School of Advanced Study Public Engagement Innovators Grant (co-applicant): Financial support to deliver a two day public engagement entitled Senate House Revealed, an activity at the School of Advanced Study as part of the 2015 Being Human Festival involving tours of the hidden parts of Senate House and a public panel discussion in the building’s disused Northern Heating Chamber (see Projects) (approx.£1500).

School of Advanced Study Conference Grants: Financial support to attend the International Conference of Historical Geographers in London in July 2015 and the European Association of Archaeologists annual conference in Glasgow in September 2015 (approx. £500).

Winner of the 2014 Peter Lang Young Scholars Competition in Memory Studies: A contract to publish a paperback book in Peter Lang’s peer-reviewed Cultural Memories Series.

European Association for Urban History Conference Bursary: Financial support to attend the European Association for Urban History’s twelfth international conference on urban history in Lisbon in September 2014 (approx £250).

Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD) One-Year Grant for PhD Students: A 10-month research exchange scholarship awarded to undertake research at Technical University Berlin’s Center of Metropolitan Studies. Duration: Oct 2013 – Jul 2014 (approx. €10,000).

ESRC/FORGE Mini-Symposium Grant: (Lead applicant) Funding for a three day research workshop hosted at UCL’s Department of Geography in July 2013 (approx. £2000)

German Research Foundation Non-stipendiary Associate Research Fellowship: A 36-month research fellowship to pursue doctoral research in association with the Center for Metropolitan Studies, Berlin Technical University within the framework of the International Graduate Research Program Berlin – New York – Toronto “The World in the City: Metropolitanism and Globalization from the 19th Century to the Present”. Duration: Apr 2012 – Apr 2015.

University College London Graduate School Research Scholarship: A 36-month research scholarship awarded to pursue doctoral research at UCL’s Department of Geography. Duration: Oct 2010 – Sept 2013 (approx £45,000).

University College London Graduate School Language Funding: Financial support to attend additional language training. Duration Oct 2010 – May 2011 (approx £1000).

The Leverhulme Trust Study Abroad Studentship: A 24-month research studentship awarded to fulfil a master degree course at Brandenburg Technical University, Cottbus’ Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Urban Planning. Duration: Oct 2007 – Nov 2009 (approx £30,000).
